I've done a few, and the issue users typically run into is that the constraints associated with a lift lug and cable allow rigid body motion. There's several ways you can go about this:
- You can create something called a kinematic constraint using an Advanced Rigid Link and a point constraint.
- You can use a beam or spring element with either a rigid link or weighted link.
- You can apply a cylindrical constraint.
The tricky bit is that an accurate representation of the interface between the lug and cable allows for rigid body motion. However, we can stabilize the model using very weak ground springs.
