The following is intended to be humorous, but is just as likely to be true...
Based on past performance, PTC has feature locked Creo 5, due out no sooner than 3 years and won't consider adding any new features to the considerations list for Creo/Parametric release 6, due out no sooner than 4 years from now.
By then the Creo series will be seen as out-of-date and, in an effort to re-jigger the features into a new license model, marketing will be working on a new product name. They'll be too busy to accept outside suggestions for the new and improved named version. To make it memorable, the first version with the new name will have some new interface concept that leaves the early adopters gasping for breath the way fish do when left on dirt, so you may wish to hold out hope for the second new-named version.
Best guess estimate, you'll be measuring the area of sketched drawing entities that form a closed perimeter in just 8 years, at the earliest.
