Re: Mapping creator attribute in desktop integration
Thanks Scott. We'll give it a try.
View ArticleRe: Displaying parameters as fractions
A fraction in its simplest form is an equation (division). You could make the parameter "numerator" and "denominator" and do the math on the decimal value. Use [.n] to control the number of digits....
View ArticleRe: Displaying parameters as fractions
I'm just curious about the rise in interest in using fractions. It's probably easier to create parameters that are parts of the fraction to begin with - whole part, denominator, numerator and use a...

The following is intended to be humorous, but is just as likely to be true... Based on past performance, PTC has feature locked Creo 5, due out no sooner than 3 years and won't consider adding any new...

Hello, We are still facing this challenge, and I notice that many colleagues are entering this topic, it has many views. Would it be possible to have a reply? From PTC maybe? Thank you very much,Alex...

thank you.sure, all support i could get show that the PDF need to convert a picture format (like BMP and other) then can easily insert. but it is paid by resolution. Best regards, Hongjie
View ArticleRe: How to insert a PDF in detail
Not necessarily. Take a look at the config.pro option:drawing_ole_image_dpi *150 default, up to 600. If this applies as I think it does, this would improve the image quality. There are other bitmap...

Hi Maulik What are you tying to do with Excel and how do you want to control it. While I don't know how to directly control creo with excel, you can use excel to create txt files, which creo can then...

Hi Gary, I´m glad you could make it easily. I want to share more options with you, but for these, you need Flexible Modeling module: 1 - With the Move or Offset Feature (works even with non-planar...
View ArticleRe: Can you make a closed and tangent-to-itself datum curve in Creo 2.0?
well, the datum points are what I measured with the CMM.and it's the red curve that's correct - my actual part is a disk with an elliptical hole cut out of it.I'm trying to reverse-engineer that shape.
View ArticleRe: Can you make a closed and tangent-to-itself datum curve in Creo 2.0?
Paul, you can add 2 points where you make the curve segment straight on both ends (choose the line option for that segment). This will make the ends of the curve tangent as well. The 3 points on top...
View ArticleRe: Can you make a closed and tangent-to-itself datum curve in Creo 2.0?
I do see what you mean about a sketch not behaving once you close the spline. The way around it is to divide the spline somewhere along the spline and letting that be tangent. You can then close the...
View ArticleRe: How do I convert a value from ANSI to ISO format within a table cell
I know there is a setting for making metric (SI) dims with commas, but I am not sure that is the case with equations in relations or even parameters. Look for decimal_marker in drawing .dtl settings,...
View ArticleRe: Can you make a closed and tangent-to-itself datum curve in Creo 2.0?
The little glitch will be much smaller when a decent number of points is chosen. They should be much closer together where the curvature is higher to better follow the surface. I thought there was a...
View ArticleRe: Can you make a closed and tangent-to-itself datum curve in Creo 2.0?
You'd think that's true, huh I tried that but if it is a single spline in a sketch, it jumps to closing the spline even if you have other geometry there. The Datum Curve version doesn't do that...
View ArticleRe: Can you make a closed and tangent-to-itself datum curve in Creo 2.0?
The end points don't start out with the end points coincident... That's after the tangency is established.

View ArticleRe: Can you make a closed and tangent-to-itself datum curve in Creo 2.0?
Nope, it overwrites the tangency with the lines and creates a tangent to itself. When you later divide the spline, the tangency to the construction lines reverts back See if this video covers it....
